Terms of Use and End User License Agreement
Medicine Career Simulator
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Please read this before you play. By installing or playing Medicine Career Simulator you agree to it. If you do not agree, do not install or play the game.
1. Who this agreement is with
This agreement is between you and Ali Dinch, an individual in New South Wales, Australia, who publishes games under the name sLumLake simuLations ("we", "us"). It is not an agreement with Google. Google is not responsible for the game or its content.
Your use of Google Play is also covered by Google's own terms. If those terms and this agreement conflict about how the store works, Google's terms apply to that point.
2. Your license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license, which we can withdraw as set out in section 11, to install and play Medicine Career Simulator on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment.
The game is licensed to you, not sold. We and our licensors keep all rights in the game, including its code, art, text, sound and its name and logo.
3. What you must not do
You must not:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the game or any part of it;
- modify, decompile or reverse engineer the game, except where the law gives you a right to that cannot be excluded;
- edit save files, fake purchases, or use cheats or other tools to gain unlocks you did not earn or pay for;
- use the game to break the law or to harm anyone;
- give your character a name that is offensive, hateful or sexually explicit, or that is the name of a real person or organization.
4. Age
You must be 13 or older to play. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must read and agree to this agreement for you.
5. Accounts (optional)
You can play as a guest. If you sign in with Google:
- you are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for what happens under your account;
- your saved life may be backed up to your account. We take reasonable care of it but cannot promise that a save will never be lost;
- the account is a sLumLake account, and also signs you in to our other games if you play them;
- you can delete your account at any time from the settings button at the top of the screen → Account → Delete account.
How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy at https://daviddinch.github.io/slumlake/medicine/privacy.html.
6. Purchases
The game has no in-app purchases at present. If purchases are added, this agreement will be updated first, and you will be asked to agree to the change before you buy anything.
7. A work of fiction, and not medical advice
Medicine Career Simulator is a work of fiction. Every doctor, patient, family member, hospital, college, company and exam in it is fictitious, and any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, or to real organizations is coincidental and not intended. Real countries appear only as settings, and the way training and selection work in the game is simplified and is not a guide to any real country's system.
The game is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any hospital, medical school, college, regulator, health service or professional body.
Nothing in the game is medical, career, legal or financial advice. It does not teach medicine, and it must not be used to make decisions about anyone's health or treatment. If you are unwell, see a real doctor.
8. Updates, changes and availability
We may update the game, change its features or balance, or stop offering the game or any part of it.
The game shows no advertising.
9. Your consumer rights
Nothing in this agreement excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under consumer law that cannot lawfully be excluded, including the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law and equivalent laws where you live.
10. Disclaimers and limits
Subject to section 9:
- the game is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be free of errors or interruptions, or that it will work on every device;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or saves, except where we caused it by failing to take reasonable care;
- our total liability to you in connection with the game is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the game and its in-app purchases in the 12 months before the claim, or AU$50.
Nothing in this agreement limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Ending this agreement
You can end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the game and, if you have one, deleting your account.
If you seriously or repeatedly break section 3, we may change an offending name, or suspend or close your account. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why first and give you a chance to respond.
When this agreement ends, your license ends and you must stop using the game. Sections 2 (ownership), 7, 9, 10 and 13 continue to apply.
12. Changes to this agreement
We may update this agreement, for example when new features are added. The current version is always at https://daviddinch.github.io/slumlake/medicine/terms.html with the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the game and ask you to agree again before you continue playing. If you do not agree to a change, you can stop playing and your consumer rights in section 9 are not affected.
13. General
- Governing law. This agreement is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and may bring a claim in your local courts.
- Whole agreement. This agreement and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the game.
- If part is invalid. If a court finds part of this agreement invalid, the rest still applies.
